Welcome to WML’s StoryWalk® at Rotary Park funded by the Friends of the Wilmington Memorial Library 2021 Annual Appeal.

The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. Storywalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson. StoryWalks® are now installed in all 50 states, supporting literacy, health and fitness.
As you walk along the path, each numbered sign contains the page from a book. Enjoy reading and following the story, beginning at the playground, circling the pond, and ending on the opposite side of the field. Please feel free to take photos and share your experience on by tagging us on social media or email your photos to us at kids@wilmlibrary.org.
We hope you enjoy the stories posted at the StoryWalk® at Rotary Park. Library staff will be changing out the book every so often so please come back soon for another walk around the park!
Our newest Storywalk® book is Winter Dance by Marion Dane Bauer.
Snow is coming, and it’s time to get ready! The squirrel gathers nuts, the geese soar south, and the snowshoe hare puts on its new white coat. But what should the fox do? Each animal advises the fox that its own plan is best, but the fox thinks otherwise—yet it’s not until he meets a golden-eyed friend that he finds the perfect way to celebrate the snowfall.
