Welcome to WML’s StoryWalk® at Rotary Park funded by the Friends of the Wilmington Memorial Library 2021 Annual Appeal.

The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. Storywalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson. StoryWalks® are now installed in all 50 states, supporting literacy, health and fitness.

As you walk along the path, each numbered sign contains the page from a book. Enjoy reading and following the story, beginning at the playground, circling the pond, and ending on the opposite side of the field. Please feel free to take photos and share your experience on by tagging us on social media or email your photos to us at kids@wilmlibrary.org.

We hope you enjoy the stories posted at the StoryWalk® at Rotary Park. Library staff will be changing out the book every so often so please come back soon for another walk around the park!

Our newest Storywalk® book is Bear Can’t Sleep by Karma Wilson.

It’s winter, and deep in the forest, Bear should be fast asleep. But when his friends come by to check on him, they realize that Bear is still awake! They brew him hot tea and sing him lullabies, but nothing seems to work. Can Bear get to bed? Or will he be up all winter? Find out by visiting our Storywalk® and reading through the story!
