Digitization

VHS Digitization

The library has an iMac with Elgato Video Capture software that enables us to convert your VHS Tapes. Please note we are unable to digitize copy-righted material. This includes Movies/TV Shows you either purchased and recorded from TV.

The formats we can handle are full-sized VHS tapes, small VHS-C tapes, and 8 MM tapes. We are unable to digitize MiniDV tapes. For the small-sized tapes, the format is printed on the tape itself.

To take advantage of this service, you can bring two tapes at a time and either a DVD for each tape or a single USB drive.

Photos and Slides Digitization

The library has an iMac with an Epson Perfection V600 Photo scanner. We can digitize photos, projector slides, and negatives.

To take advantage of this service bring the material and a USB drive.

Cassette Digitization

The library has an iMac with Audacity software that enables us to convert your Cassettes. Please note we are unable to digitize copy-righted material. This includes albums you either purchased and recorded from the radio. This is meant for preservation purposes. The process does not break down the album into individual tracks. It will produce two tracks, side A and side B.

To take advantage of this service, please drop off a blank CD for each cassette or a USB Drive.
