In honor of National Library Week (April 7th-14th), we’re hosting our first ever Library Card Design Contest!

All ages can submit a design starting Sunday, April 7 through Tuesday, May 7. Please read though our contest rules and information before submitting. Contestants can submit online by emailing marketing@wilmlibrary.org or print a submission form and bring their design to the library. If you’re having any trouble, please email us at marketing@wilmlibrary.org.

Contest Rules:

•Open to all MVLC cardholders.
•All designs must be completed using the template on the back or downloaded from our website.
•Artwork can include computer generated or digital photographic submissions (no AI generated designs, please) or paper submissions using colored pencil, pen, paint, markers, etc.
•Digital entries should be submitted with a resolution of 300 dpi or higher for printing purposes. Digital version final card size 3.375 x 2.125 inches and 2.125 x 1.125 inches.
•All artwork must be original, previously unpublished, and free of copyright restrictions.
•Both horizontal and vertical designs will be considered.
•Upon submission, entrants grant the Wilmington Memorial Library all rights to the artwork and consents that all artwork may be displayed and/or reproduced without limitation and without compensation.
•Entries must be accompanied by a signed entry form.
•Limit one (1) entry per person. Do not include your name in artwork.
•A committee will select several finalists and then we will open it up to public voting!

ENTRIES MUST BE SUBMITTED AND RECEIVED BETWEEN APRIL 7-MAY 7, 2024.

Winners:

$50 gift card prizes will be awarded to the top two designs, chosen by a committee, as well as public voting.
