What will I be doing?
Volunteers are responsible for staffing the cashier desk, providing customer service, helping customers with their donations, and maintaining the neatness of the store.

Do I need any special skills?
Volunteers should enjoy working with the public and must be able to tally purchases and make change (calculators provided).

Does the BSND need high school volunteers?
High school students aged 13+ are welcome to volunteer at the BSND. Students will be paired with an adult for each shift and must commit to at least 5 shifts during a 1-year period.

Availability

Volunteers are needed for the following shifts. Please check times that you are available.

Wednesdays (positions available March - November)

10am - 1pm

1pm - 4pm

Saturdays (positions available year-round)

10am - 1pm

1pm - 4pm

Some book store volunteers are trained to sort donations into bins for fiction, nonfiction, children's, etc.

I am interested in being trained as a sorter.
