The Wilmington Memorial Library (MA) strives to support community needs, such as opportunities for students to earn service hours and experience, and recognizes that teen volunteers are a valuable library resource. Teen volunteer opportunities are  for students in grades 9-12. Limited opportunities may be available for Girl or Boy Scouts in grades 6-8 needing service hours. Requests to volunteer should be filled out teens seeking volunteer opportunities (not caregivers).

Please contact the Youth Services department with any questions by calling 978-694-2098 or emailing teens@wilmlibrary.org

General volunteers perform a variety of tasks as needed, such as assisting at Youth Services programs, with craft preparation, and other general library duties. Volunteers are notified of available tasks monthly via a SignUpGenius link.

Earn volunteer hours by reading and reviewing YA books for the Teen Room! The book you read and review must come from our collection and must be a YA book (fiction, nonfiction or graphic novel). The book can also be an Advanced Reader Copy (ARC), which you can ask for when you come to the library. It must not be a book read for school. You can accrue a maximum of 10 volunteer hours for reading and reviewing. Reviews may be posted in the Teen Room or on social media anonymously or with your first name.
