I'm excited to announce that the 'Walking Dead' graphic novels have joined the Teen Zone's Graphic Novel section (under Teen Graphic Walking Dead). If you are a fan of the hit AMC zombie show, you should definitely check out the graphic novels by Robert Kickman. They add new depth to the characters, there are plot differences, and every volume is action-packed!

Highly recommended, but mostly for ages 14+ due to the graphic/violent content associated with all things zombie-related.

In partnership with the Childrens' Department, we will be offering a Teen Volunteer Program called Book Buddies. The Book Buddies program is an opportunity for teens in grades 9-12 to earn community service hours by interacting with a young child. During the course of four weeks, you will be paired with a child for a one-hour session once a week. Together you will read, share a snack, and do a fun craft!

Interested in applying? Fill out the Teen Book Buddies Volunteer Program application.

Applications are also available at the Youth Services desk. The deadline for the March program is March 3rd.
