An Inforgraphic is a list of statistics or other facts presented in an aesthetically pleasing manner. This has become popular on the internet because of how intimidating a wall of text on a web page can be. Below you’ll find a great example. It shows such things as the services libraries offered and where the money comes from to pay for said services!

Book Buddies Volunteer Program - April

Book Buddies Volunteer Program - April
Posted by Alison Schwartz on Thu, 03/27/2014 - 5:07pm

The April Book Buddies Program is still accepting applicants from Teen Volunteers (wilmlibrary.org/book-buddies)

The time for the sessions in April has also been switched to Fridays at 3:45pm until 4:45pm. This change has been made to better accomodate the schedules of both volunteers and the kids interested in participating.

Any teen volunteers or children that are interested in the Book Buddies program that are only available on Saturday mornings may still apply. Please specify if this is the case.

Thank you!

Teen Volunteers: Book Buddies Program

Teen Volunteers: Book Buddies Program
Posted by Alison Schwartz on Thu, 02/06/2014 - 1:21pm

In partnership with the Childrens' Department, we will be offering a Teen Volunteer Program called Book Buddies. The Book Buddies program is an opportunity for teens in grades 9-12 to earn community service hours by interacting with a young child. During the course of four weeks, you will be paired with a child for a one-hour session once a week. Together you will read, share a snack, and do a fun craft!

Interested in applying? Fill out the Teen Book Buddies Volunteer Program application.
