CSA pickup coming to the library!

CSA pickup coming to the library!
Posted by Joanna Breen on Thu, 03/28/2013 - 4:40pm

Beginning in June, Wilmington Memorial Library will be the designated CSA pickup site for Farmer Dave’s of Dracut!

Pickup at the library will be on Thursdays from 3p-6p during the season.

To learn more or sign up visit Farmer Dave’s

And don't forget to check out the Wilmington Farmer’s Market!

CSA stands for “community supported agriculture.”   In short, people pay a farm up front at the beginning of a growing season to receive a portion of the farm’s harvest. Then, every week throughout the season, just-picked, locally grown produce is delivered to designated pick-up sites.

The library will host an information session about CSAs on May 30th at 7pm, with representatives from the Wilmington Farmer’s Market and Farmer Dave’s.

Only pre-boxed shares and fruit shares will be available for pickup at the library and surplus produce will be given to the Wilmington Food Pantry.
