The Wilmington Memorial Library is sponsoring Food for Fines to benefit the Wilmington Food Pantry from February 2 to March 16. Patrons may have their library fines cleared by bringing a nonperishable food donation to the library. In the spirit of the program, we ask that the estimated value of the donation be close to the amount of the fine. For a list of items needed by the Food Pantry, you can check the Community Fund website.  We are also joining other libraries across the state during this time period in sponsoring a PJ Drive in partnership with the Boston Bruins and Cradles to Crayons. Patrons who bring in a new pair of PJs (infants to school age) can have their fines cleared. Those who do not have fines are encouraged to donate to these two worthy programs.
