Margot Livsey is the next featured author scheduled in the library's author series. Margot Livesey’s latest book, The Flight of Gemma Hardy, was published in 2012 to wide acclaim. This inventive reimagining of the Jane Eyre story was named a best book of 2012 by the New England Independent Booksellers Association. Livesey’s other novels include: The House on Fortune Street, Homework, Criminals, The Missing World, Eva Moves the Furniture, and Banishing Verona.

Wilmington Memorial Library garnered three Public Relations awards at the Massachusetts Library Association Conference on April 25. The library won first place in the newsletter category, second place in the web site category and third place in the bookmark category. The Massachusetts Library Association also presented five scholarships for first time attendees to the annual conference. Joanna Breen, WML Marketing Librarian, won a scholarship to attend the three day conference April 24 to April 26 at the Hyatt in Cambridge.
